Wivenhoe in Bloom needs some help

I think Wivenhoe in Bloom does a fantastic job for Wivenhoe.  Apart from establishing and maintaining several very attractive beds, especially outside the opticians and up at the One Stop, they undertake lots of bulb planting every year.  Every spring more and more of the public grassy areas light up with spring flowers.  Recently they planted 1,000 Crocus and 1000 daffodils along the new cycle track.

But, they badly need some additional volunteers to help with ongoing maintenance (weeding, deadheading, pruning, etc) and, in the summer, occasional watering.  They routinely have a working session at one of their locations 10.00 - 12.00 on the 1st of every month, with other ad hoc sessions in between.  No particular horticultural expertise is needed - just a willingness to muck in and help.

- or just turn up at one of the sessions, details are always posted on their Facebook page.
