Thought you meant the Panto for a second - someone should tell Dennis there's a big Iron Maiden reference in it! :-)

And here's a poster for the Mayoral Variety Show. Some very decent names involved. A bargain for a fiver, kids for a kid.

A brilliant show altogether. Some great photos Jason; could you recommend a simple camera which gives good results?

All the above images were shot with a D3000. I've never really felt comfortable with it, but I like the smooth operation that it offers. It sells for around £260 now, originally around £400 when it first came on the market.

I still use my F717 for work, as well as the majority of the images I post up to flickr. This model is over ten years old now (!) but it remains my favourite camera to use. The problem is that all models have a technical fault. They have a lifespan of x number of shots (yet to be determined) and then develop a display fault. A bit of a bummer when you have spent £600 on the camera, but not so bad when they are now on eBay for around £50. Whenever my current model packs up, I simply buy another. I think I'm on my fourth now...

For a compact, Anna loves her Richoh GR. This now sells for around £260. I would recommend either this, or a cheap F717 on eBay, knowing that it won't last longer than maybe two to three years.

Now that the lighting rig has been dismantled, the stage returned to it's everyday dimension and the last wayward scrap of confetti has been cleared away, the William Loveless Hall is prepared for this afternoon's booking. Will the Wedding Party in there this afternoon realise that only a few hours earlier Wivenhoe celebrated with a great show. Furthermore, will they realise what fantastic people we have in our midst.? The sort of people who will dedicate their vaulable time and skills for the benefit of the community. They are all stars. There are stars on the stage, there are stars off the stage. Grateful thanks to each and every star for making the night so enjoyable.

Well done Bob, Shane and everybody else involved. I am so sorry to have not been able to MC - I was hoping to struggle through on painkillers but was told in no uncertain terms that this would not be by any means wise. Sounds like I really missed out on some fantastic entertainment.

Bob - if you fancy MCing the Funny Farm next month if I'm still not fit - you're on!

One of our first Wivenhoe "expierences" and surely the others cannot match up to this, what a show!!  I cannot remember before putting more money in the raffle than the actual ticket costs. We would have certainly paid more for the quality entertaiment on show, from the young too the old they were all magnificent.
