Transition Town Wivenhoe will be at the Farmer's Market at the Congregational Hall on Saturday from 9am. The Cafe will be serving rolls and local egg and bacon. Dr Bike will be outside as well - incredibly popular last month.
There's another Community Come and Sing session at the Methodist Church on 20th October, 2pm - 5pm with Chris Rowbury. £8 or £5 concessions. No experience needed.
Also on the 20th there is a Working Party in the Station garden:
"Please bring along spades / forks / trowels if you have them. A general tidy up and then hopefully planting some over wintering crops such as garlic, broad beans, onions..."
Bennison Farm has a Halloween Social on 27th October:
"Volunteers recently helped erect a large polytunnel at the farm enabling Danny and Meg to supply their delicious organic veg to the local area all year round."
"The Community Chicken Shed is proud to bring you fresh and delicious eggs, courtesy of our small flock. The chicken shed is a community project, with many different people involved in looking after them and ensuring their welfare.
Eggs are available every day and will usually go out in the mornings. They are labelled with the date of lay, so you can be sure they're fresh."
The chickens and eggs can be found in the Station pub's garden.
